Plant Academy students created this class as part of their Plant Three course which focuses on plant-based business.
Here’s a message from the students:
This was the first live challenge of the Plant Three course which is all about making an impact on the food system. We were so excited to collaborate with Made In Hackney. Our challenge was to create a one-bowl meal that brings communities together through joy, respect and collaboration. We had less than 24 hours to come up with this recipe!
We wanted to represent our Plant Three team in one bowl, we wanted to deepen connection and community through a bowl. We thought that breakfast in modern society is generally a solo meal, whether that’s grabbing a smoothie and leaving the house or having a quick bowl of cereal before heading to school; but when we think of a ‘full English breakfast’ we visualise a table full of people gathering to feast together.
So our take on this community bowl is inspired by a full English breakfast and weaves in our food stories and memories. Our Plant Three team is multinational, so be prepared for some exciting flavours and combinations you've never tried before!
We also share ideas about swaps you can make depending on what you have in the house at the time or what you enjoy, so that you can create your own food memories. It can be eaten at any time! You could have it for breakfast, lunch or dinner and get that full English feeling.
We hope you love it!
Peace and plants,
Plant Three Students
