Recommendations: Mallorca // Spain

Mallorca is one of our favourite islands in Europe because of their conscious credentials and plant-forward thinking. With a huge array of plant-based restaurants, there's local natural wines on every menu and thinking sustainably comes easily to this magical place. From the creative hub of "Santa Catalina' in Palma to every edge of the island, these were some of our recent finds while visiting.

Guide Key: 100% Vegan

Let's Do Brunch: Mama Carmen Coffee Bakery

This is always my first stop in Palma with two locations just a minute from each other - one fully vegan shop where you can stock up on anything you desire and the cafe serving fresh and funky plant food. Avocado toast and iced olive latte, yes please!

This mind-blowing pastry shop is filled with wonderfully made treats and vegan AND gluten-free options. Try their apple tart, or chocolate cake for the perfect sweet treat.

New Opening: Hotel Corazon

The most talked about opening of the season! @hotelcorazon oozes wild and wonderful in everything they do. It's a Mallorca luxury hotel for a new generation of travellers who want to be barefoot, eat straight for the trees, swim in the sea at night and get lost in the pines.

Cool Coffee: Nano Coffee Lab

This is a great coffee shop in the centre of Palma with incredible cold brew, coffees, vegan pastries and good vibes. @nano.coffeelab is worth a pit stop if you're in the centre.

Brand to Try: Blissful Bastards

With a delicious selection of granolas and their very own shop in Santa Catalina, this tiger nut granola brand creates the most tasty treats. Fill your cupboards and enjoy as a snack or breakfast throughout your stay.

Tapas Treats: Sa Placeta

This zero-kilometre restaurant is a paradise for high- quality tapas and sustainable drinks. @saplacetapalma provides funky small plates and plant-based options served alongside great wines and local kombucha. Mallorca is one of the most sustainably-minded islands around and this place sums up that vibe.

Crowd-Pleaser: Spot

This is a restaurant with something for everyone! From great vegan pizzas, to veggie small plates, fun desserts, pastas and more. If you're dining with family or non plant-based friends, this really will satisfy everyone.

Shop Local: Nu Market

This amazing zero-waste shop stocks everything you would possibly need from cleaning products to dry store and cool products. Fun fact: @nu_market_ also do coffee and cakes in their beautifully designed space!

Venture To: Patiki Beach

Set in Port de Sóller (you can get a train from Palma) this beachside restaurant serves shared plates including vegetable-based dishes. Try their sourdough garlic bread and thank us later!

Dinner Beneath the Trees: Botanic

Botanica is a (mostly) plant-based restaurant and hotel right in the heart of Palma. Serving funky small plates and around-the-world style food. Enjoy the @botanicpalma satiating curries, decadent drinks and much more from their pretty courtyard!

The Plant Experience: Marc Fosh

If you're looking for a luxurious experience this is the place to go with a vegan and non-vegan tasting menu. Serving the most creative food always with interesting local ingredients and surprising desserts. Every course will expand your mind and leave you feeling inspired for sure. The extra bonus here is they are very accommodating to all dietaries and you feel in safe hands!

Join Me For Dinner: Dos Alquemistas

Dos Alquemistas have recently opened a spot in Soller where they not only serve their incredible local olive leaf products - but also hosts great chefs from the island most evenings, including @tommyturmeric and @aleholistic dining. A wonderfully sociable spot for really good food and delicious drinks!

When in Mallorca: La Rosa Vermuteria Colmado

When in Mallorca, drink vermouth! We fell in love with PA Rosa Vermoutaria on my recent trip with a few natural vermouths served alongside Mallorcan padron peppers, patatas bravas and huge selection of snacks. A great place for catching up with friends and feeling the city's vibe.

Sleep: Ecocirer

This plant-based guest house is a must visit for the plant passionate. @ecocirer has a sweet setting in Soller and a breakfast that will please your plant based heart.
