Curious Food

A series of conversations about food, the body and the way we live.

What if we stopped asking simply, “What should I eat?” And started asking better questions?

Can food influence desire?
Help us sleep, recover and perform?
Change the way we age?
Help us feel better in our bodies without the rules, restriction or wellness noise?

Each session brings together a leading expert with Plant Academy’s plant-based culinary approach to explore one big question:

What can food do for how we feel, function and live?

We’re looking at food through more than just the lens of nutrition.

We’re exploring pleasure, hormones, energy, performance, sleep, longevity, digestion, desire and wellbeing and how the food we eat can become part of a richer, more connected way of living.

This is food education, but not as you know it.

It’s curious, practical, evidence-informed and delicious.

Five Sessions. Five Questions. One curious approach.

Sex. Cycle. Longevity. Sleep. Detox.

Different subjects. Different experts. Different perspectives.

Connected by one belief:

Food is much more interesting than a list of nutrients.

The First Season

Five conversations. Five big questions. Five different ways of thinking about food.

Sex Food

With Aisha Paris Smith · October 14

What does food have to do with desire?

We’ll explore the relationship between food, circulation, energy, hormones and sexual wellbeing looking at how what we eat may influence the way we feel, connect and experience our bodies.

Expect: conversation, insight and practical food inspiration around desire, vitality and wellbeing.

Cycle Food

With Camilla Clair · October 21

Our bodies don’t stay the same throughout the month. So why should the way we eat?

This session explores nutrition across the menstrual cycle and the ways food can support energy, mood, nourishment and wellbeing at different phases.

A chance to understand the cycle through food and rethink some of the assumptions around what our bodies need.

Longevity Food

With Sara Kiyo Popowa October 28

What can plants, eating patterns and culinary traditions teach us about ageing well?

Longevity isn’t simply about living longer. It’s about how we live along the way.

We’ll explore the role food can play in healthy ageing, from the plants we eat to the habits, rituals and culinary practices that can support a longer, healthier life.

Sleep Food

With Livy Van Goh November 4

Could what’s on your plate affect how you sleep?

We’ll explore the connection between food, sleep, rest and recovery looking at how everyday eating habits can support the body’s ability to wind down, restore and recharge.

Practical ideas, useful insights and food you’ll actually want to eat.

Detox Food

With Daria Hynes · November 11

Forget the juice cleanses and wellness hype. What does a genuine reset actually look like?

This session explores food for digestion, nourishment and feeling good, taking a more grounded look at what our bodies need and what they don’t  when we want to reset our habits and feel better. Less restriction. More nourishment.

Meet The Experts

The Curious Food Experience

Each masterclass is 60 minutes of conversation, ideas, questions and practical inspiration.

30-40 Minutes
The conversation

A relaxed, engaging conversation or presentation with our guest expert.

We’ll unpack their area of expertise, challenge assumptions and explore the questions we’re all curious about — without turning the session into a lecture.

15-20 Minutes
Ask The Expert

Our Q&A draws from questions submitted before the session as well as those asked live, creating space to go deeper into the topics that matter to you.

4 Recipes
Per Session

Every masterclass comes with four simple, functional recipes inspired by the theme of the session.

You’ll receive the recipes as a PDF after the series, giving you practical ways to take what you’ve learned and put it into practice.

Curious Food isn’t about telling you what you should eat.

There are already enough rules.

Instead, we want to create space to ask better questions, hear from people who know their subjects deeply, and discover new ways of thinking about the food we eat every day.

You might come away with a new perspective.

A new ingredient to try. A new question to investigate. Or simply a recipe you can’t wait to make.

Come curious. Leave inspired.

Why Curious Food?

Food sits at the centre of almost everything we do.

We eat for nourishment, but also for pleasure.
We eat to celebrate, connect and comfort.
We eat to fuel our work, our movement and our recovery.
We eat as part of our routines, cultures and rituals.

So rather than reducing food to calories, nutrients or rules, Curious Food looks at the bigger picture.

Each masterclass takes one aspect of human life and asks: Could food play a bigger role here than we realise?

The answers won’t always be simple. And that’s the point. We’re here to explore.
