As we get “back to school” after our summer break we are looking to form healthier working relationships with both ourselves and others.

Plant Academy is teaming up with Charlotte Wiseman and Jean Claude Arismendi for an informative skills-based workshop where you can learn valuable tools to improve your resilience and share your experiences with other members of our community.

Charlotte Wiseman is a positive organisational psychology consultant and trainer known for her pioneering work in the field of mental fitness. Building upon a scientific foundation, she combines her pioneering research with her personal experience to embed wellbeing into the culture of organisations – enhancing engagement, reducing burnout and improving staff retention.

It was her own journey overcoming chronic stress, anxiety and depression that first led her to explore applied positive psychology in 2009. The changes she experienced were so inspiring that she left her long standing career in the fashion industry to pursue a career in Psychology.

Charlotte met Jean Claude when working at Soho House on their Chefs’ Resilience initiative. Jean Claude was born in Germany but grew up in Spain, and moved to the UK in 2011. After having worked for 20 years in the hospitality industry as a pastry chef he changed career to become a business coach and mentor. Since his career change he now takes better care of himself through regular meditation and exercise.

This session will enable you to share your own experiences of stressful situations and give you the tools to be more resilient in the future. The skills we will be focussing on are: mediation, controlling the controllables, cultivating kindness and mental first aid. You will leave the session feeling equipped to tackle stressful situations. A handout will also accompany the session, summarising all the key points. We will also be doing a feedback and check-in session in October to see how you’re putting your new skills into practice.
